Capable of Telling the World About 'The Mighty Boosh'

I wish I was... capable of telling the WORLD about 'The Mighty Boosh'!

Okay, so while working on this horrible research paper, I have one of my favorite shows playing. I had this remarkable idea to do a whole post about it. It's called 'The Mighty Boosh' and it is one of the most amaizing shows I have ever seen. I discovered it this past summer, and I'm now in love with it. It's the cheesy British show, about these 2 men, one a gorgeous, vain, young guy, and the other an older, kill-joy stuck in the Jazz age. Together they get themselves into many crazy situations, and rely on a short wizard of sorts and his gorilla to save them.

It's a hilarious show, and each episode is sure to make you laugh.

You've seen Old Greg, right? If not check it out!

Sorry about the ridiculous quality, it's all YouTube has to offer at the moment.

WATCH WATCH WATCH (: Cartoon Network's Adult Swim at 1 am Saturday morning!
you won't regret it.

Able to Time Travel

I wish I was... able to time travel.

Yesterday was a good day, my mom met my new boyfriend for the first time today... and she approves! We had such a nice day just lounging around the house and going to the movies, that I forgot about all of the tiny annoyances of this week. We make each other very happy, and I believe we told each other this at least fifty times. We just over all had a great day, and I wouldn't mind re-living it!

We seen 'Shutter Island' with Leonardo DiCaprio, and it was a pretty good movie. I wouldn't watch it again but it was alright. It dealt a lot with the holocaust, which is one of the historic events I find more interesting, so it was pretty interesting.

My Friday was great, let's just hope the rest of the weekend is even better.

Back In A Public School

I wish I was... back in a public school!

So, this year was my first year at a private Christian school, yet I am not religious at all. We take Bible classes, we have chapels, all of that good stuff, and it is really fine with me! I have no problem with it.

But when a peer comes up to me and asks me to go to church with them, and I kindly decline... it simply means no. Not "come back in thirty minutes, I'm gonna change my mind." It's just not very appealing to me. I feel as if I'm being pushed into it, and when I do decided to become religious it will NOT be because of other people pushing me into it.

It's one thing to beg me to go to your church, but when you leave a bible in my locker with a note saying, "You need to get saved." That is what gets me mad. The same girl who put a bible in my locker also gave my boyfriend a bible as well. Really? I get that she is trying to help... but really?

Anyway, this girl, the "bible planter", is the same girl who flirts with my boyfriend constantly... Ok, Virgin Mary get your own boyfriend.

Sorry for the rant! But yeah, this would have NEVER happened in a public school. I am not in this Christian Academy by choice, by the way.

More Like My Grandfather

I wish I was... more like my grandfather.

My grandfather, on my mother's side, (my papa) is the most amazing person I know. His story is the kind of story that truly gives me hope.

Ever since I was a little girl my Papa was always very protective of me. Being his first grand-child it was understandable. He built himself up from nothing, he went from being a lower-class underprivileged child, to being the most wealthy person in our family. After all of his accomplishments he still faces so many hardships today. My Papa is the rock in our family.

My Grandmother is addicted to pain-killers. Hardcore stuff. Morphine, Vicodin, every pain-killer I can think of is one I associate with my grandmother. She is killing herself slowly, and everyone knows it. Even she knows, and my Papa sticks by her side even through her withdrawal rages.

My Uncle, who is my Papa's son, is an alcoholic. I mean, one of the worst. My Papa took him in, bought him a travel trailer, and he now lives for free on their land, using their electricity and eating their food. My Papa is always there for him, even when he is pissed beyond belief.

Every time I see my Papa he is all smiles. He makes me laugh by telling goofy jokes and pulling hilarious pranks on me. He comes over to visit us often, he lives just right down the road from us. He stops by every Tuesday and Thursday to drop our paper off, and yet even in the roughest times of his life, he always manages to put a smile on mine, and my siblings faces.

My Grandfather means the world to me, and without him, I think my whole family would all be lost. He has recently came close to losing his own mother, and by the looks of it she does not have much time left. It gives me hope to see how strong he is through all of this. I have NEVER met anyone who is as unselfish and caring as he is. He is a true hero in my life, and I love him with all of my heart.

We all know someone like this, and we should all be grateful that we do. It is good people, like my Grandfather, who keep this world from being totally morally corrupt. This has been weighing heavy on my heart, and even if I said thank you, a million times... it would not be enough.

I love you, Papa.

THIS Artistic

I wish I was... THIS artistic!

"Alexa Meade thinks completely backwards. Most artists use acrylic paints to create portraits of people on canvas. But not Meade - she applies acrylic paints on her subjects and makes them appear to be a part of the painting!"

This is unbelievable. One of my favortie musicians, Sia, had posted this link, on her Twitter. I clicked on it & was blow away. Check it out!

This is a breath of fresh air to any aspiring artist, there is so much we have accomplished yet there is so many more new ideas to be discovered! I am in LOVE with this new concept!

NOT Addicted to TV

I wish I was... NOT addicted to TV!

Drowining myself in these silly, shallow TV shows makes up for the total lack of drama in my life as of now, and I love it! The sad thing is, my two favorite shows are ending right now; The Bad Girls Club, & The Real Housewives of the OC. BUT, the great thing is so many new shows are staring up (or back up)! Shows I am looking forward to: Glee, Love Games, Big Brother, & Pretty Wild. Trashy TV is the best kind of TV!

A college kid.

I wish I was... a college kid.

Because this High School work is ridiculous! I have a research paper due in my English 3 class in six days. Here's the insane part, it is a max. 500 point paper, and even after spending all day on it, I am still only up to 160 points. It's basically a paper where we must map out the College of our choice, how we plan to get in, and what we plan on doing afterward. I picked Flagler College. The more I read on it the more I don't want to attend school there, but then again, I think I'll be that way about EVERY college. On top of that, for the same class, I have to finish reading 'In Cold Blood' by Truman Capote. It's a great book, I'm just to overloaded with work to enjoy it! However; my grade for English 3 is the farthest from my worries, seeing as though that is my best class. Algebra 2 is the class that is making me really stress, I'll be lucky to get above a 42% in that class! Which is my average now. Pitiful, huh?

Anyway, while doing my work I listened to piano covers of songs on the Billboards top 100, and I was amazed at what I found.

Check this guy out, he has many other songs done on his YouTube account. Even if piano covers aren't your thing, this will NOT be a waste of your time! I couldn't help but look up the lyrics & sing along. (;

Well, back to my homework. Ciao!

Tan

I wish I was... tan.

With my junior prom coming up in less than a month, I need to start working on my tan. I am very fair skinned to be polite, but in reality I'm paler than Edward Cullen! So today, I caked myself with tanning lotion, plugged into my ipod playing some upbeat summer songs, and layed out. This was the first time in months it's been warm and sunny enough for me to do this. Kandee Johnson, (my personal make-up savoir!) says that the tanner you are, the skinnier you look! So, I'm going to knock out 2 birds with 1 stone! I lay out for 2 hours! That's a long time. I come inside and check out my newly tanned body and to my dismay, no tan lines. Nothing. I was just as pale as I was before I stepped outside! I shouldn't be expecting results so quickly, but I gave in and called a few local tanning salons. I decided to start tanning at a local gym, and I'll start Monday to see how it goes!
I'm no stranger to tanning beds, for that's the only way I can seem to maintain a tan without burning and blistering! I'm aware of the risks, but hey, I only have ONE junior prom, and I'm willing to risk it! Haha.

Above is the tanning lotion I used today, It has a VERY strong cocoa smell, and it leaves marks like a self-tanner would. It was $9.99 at Sally's Beauty Supply and I used it as a last resort. I do NOT reccommend this product.

A Blogger

I wish I was... a blogger.

"Be careful what you wish for", is a cliche that is used often in movies, television shows, songs... But I really find the cliche to be incredibly absurd. I believe when it comes to wishing you should be as reckless as possible! Infact, I am wisher or a "dreamer" as some may call, and this blog will be devoted to just that, what I wish for. Follow my journey through life with nothing but luck and wishful thoughts!

Feel free to follow because I will follow you back!
